Castro Marim GOLFE & COUNTRY CLUB
Only 9 km from Casa Limão is the Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club, founded in 1992 by Willem van Kooten, former radio star Joost den Draaijer. The course is part of a project of unprecedented quality, designed to provide a unique form of relaxation. The location is privileged in the quiet Sotavento (eastern part) of the Algarve. The course has fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Guadiana River and the Nature Reserve. The design of the said "Atlantic Course" takes advantage of the natural slopes of the mountains and features decorative lakes. The fairways were sown with Bermuda grass and the greens with the new Penn A4 grass.

QUINTA DO VALE GOLF
At the same distance from Casa Limão is the Quinta do Vale golf course. Severiano Ballesteros designed a course here that should attract and please every type of player. The track is completely integrated into the natural landscape and although it starts fairly flat, the second part of the track becomes more hilly. The quintessential parkland course is on a largely open terrain with occasional views of the Guadiana River. The fairways are rather on the wide side, ideal for the novice golfer. The various doglegs and water features provide a challenge for the experienced player (18 holes, par 72, 6208 meters).
